Description
Chicory Root is best known for its association with coffee. Roasted chicory root, when brewed, produces a bittersweet caffeine-free tea that resembles coffee. (Natural coffee blends often use chicory to reduce the caffeine content of the blend.)
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb, cover and steep 3-5 minutes. Strain and serve immediately.
